The Boom Labs

East Nashville, TN, USA

The Boom Labs is a music production company that has been designed to help artists define their sound, live performance, and recordings.  The brainchild of Pino Squillace (producer, musician, and visionary), the Boom Labs has become home to a musically diverse range of incredibly talented artists.  Backed by the unique percussive stylings that Pino has developed in his years of experience and combined with his vast network of Nashville “players” he has been able to create a sound that is truly original, yet captures the soulful essence of the artists he works with.

While the company itself focuses heavily on artist development and TV and Film placements it has recently found it’s home inside the walls of the carefully crafted Nashville recording studio, Creative Caffeine. The Boom Labs has taken over management responsibilities of the picturesque studio and books the space for not only recording, but also for write sessions, band practices, and video/photo shoots.

Pino Squillace

Owner, The Boom Labs

Pino Squillace is owner and producer at The Boom Labs. He has been a well-known name in Music City (Nashville, TN) since 1996 when he had founded Cafe Milano located off of historic Lower Broadway in downtown Nashville. The restaurant/nightclub quickly became an integral part of the Nashville music scene.

Pino’s focus as a percussionist/producer has been about musical diversity. He studied percussion with Mac Poldo and music theory with the school’s co-founder Ginger Baker, well-known as the former drummer for Cream. As one of the original Muzik Mafia Members, Pino has performed next to Big & Rich, Kid Rock, Scott W. & Duff (Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver), George Clinton, Jewel, Robert Randolph, Keith Urban, Tito Puente, Martina Mc Bride, Gretchen Wilson, Heart, Cow Boy Troy, and James Otto (to name a few). His experience in performing with such variety of artists is a reflection of the different styles of music Pino has been exposed to: ranging from Latin/Mediterranean to Rock/World Bit, as well as Reggaeton/R&B influences.

Currently Pino has been focusing on artist development projects with Aberdeen Green, Alex Saad, and Jessica Cayne. All three artists are incredibly talented women that truly showcase the diversity of talent that Nashville has to offer. This summer they are all out on the road together in a tour called, “The Other Side of 615″. This tour demonstrates the creative potential Nashville holds for all kinds of musical genres. As Pino and his team of hardworking and motivated creators work together to help artists find their “sound”, the unique percussive beats and arrangements of each project define The Boom Labs.
