Jessica Cayne is UNEXPECTED.
Recognized for her bold vocals, lyrics, and performances, she is a singer/songwriter with a wide range of experience and stage presence to match. Her dedication to songwriting and co-writing has enabled her to participate in the “30A Songwriter’s Festival” and the “Key West Songwriter’s Festival” sharing the stage in Key West with Jason White (writer of “Red Rag Top” – Tim McGraw). Since her move to Nashville in 2011, she is a regular at some of the biggest writer’s nights in town, lately joining Bobby Pinson’s “Sing for your Supper”. You never know who she will share the stage with on Music Row.
Jessica’s music is soulful, Americana-country-rock. Her new acoustic EP, “Lovers and Liars” gives you a taste of the story telling in her songs. If Steven Tyler and Dolly Parton had a love child, it would be Jessica, raucous like Aerosmith with the honesty and grace of Dolly in her soul, adding a little tackiness for good measure. Her voice has been likened to an Americana Joss Stone.
In addition to her own work, Jessica’s gutsy voice can be heard on emerging artist Gary Ray and the Heartwells new CD, “Livin’ the Dream”. She has opened for and/or shared the stage with Brantley Gilbert, David Nail, James Otto, Rose Falcon, Lo Cash Cowboys, Kenny Chesney, Buddy Jewell, and Tonya Watts to name a few.
When you go to one of Jessica’s shows, be prepared.
